  • The same state must have a number of companies, business verticals, or company branches.
  • The company shouldn’t be listed as a GST Composition Scheme. This capability is not available to entities registered under the Composition Scheme.
  • All registered branches, verticals, and businesses must be taxed by each business entity for the taxable supply of goods and services. Every sale must include a tax invoice.

Documents Required for Adding Multiple Businesses under the Same GST Number

  • Signatory’s Aadhar card,
  • Proof of the Director’s Address
  • The PAN card of the director
  • The company’s PAN card
  • The signatory’s PAN card
  • Memorandum of Association/Article of Association
  • Incorporation Certificate from the Ministry of Corporation Affairs

Process to Add Multiple Businesses under the Same GST Number 

It’s easy to add all of your branches or businesses to a related GST. You must:

  • Step 1: Log in to the GST Portal.
  • Step 2: From the Registration Tab, you must select “Amendment of Registration Non-Core Fields”.
  • Step 3: Select “Additional Places of Business” from the Non-Core Fields list in step three.
  • Step 4: Click “Continue” in step four. The next screen will ask you to choose which products and services you want to add.
  • Step 5: Enter the HSN code if you sell goods, and the SAC code if you offer services. Next, you can click the Save & Continue. 
  • Step 6: The next set of information you need to provide is regarding the bank accounts that your business has. 
  • Step 7: This involves entering state-specific data, such as the State Excise License Number, Professional Tax Employee Code (EC), and Tax Registration Certificate (RC), along with the name of the person whose name the excise license is held.
  • Step 8: The last stages are authentication and verification. Click the “Submit with DSC” button after checking the verification box. After your DSC has been validated, your business will be added to your GST registration account.

Lastly, you must click the Verification checkbox and click the Submit button with the DSC to validate the data you have input.
