The Differently Abled Pension Scheme in Tamil Nadu gives a monthly pension of \u20b91,500 to persons with 40% or more disability who are poor and unable to earn a living, with a higher amount (around \u20b91,800) for severe disability (80% or more). It is run by the Department for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons (with the Revenue Department), and the money comes by DBT into an Aadhaar-linked bank account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
To qualify, you must be a resident of Tamil Nadu, have a disability of 40% or more (proved by a medical\/disability certificate, and increasingly the UDID card), and be destitute \/ low income.
