BC Corporation Loan Scheme: Apply Online, Subsidy, Eligibility & Status Check

BC Corporation Loan Scheme

The BC Corporation Loan Scheme is run by the Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Co-operative Finance Corporation (APBCCFC). It gives subsidy-linked loans to Backward Class (BC) people so they can start or grow a small business. The government pays a subsidy part, the bank gives a loan part, and you pay a small share yourself.

Apply online on the OBMMS portal (apobmms.apcfss.in  ) — click Registration, verify with Aadhaar OTP, log in, choose the BC Corporation, pick your sector and scheme, and submit to get a Beneficiary ID. Then submit the hard copy to your MPDO or Municipal Commissioner. Check status with “Beneficiary Search” using your ration card or Aadhaar.

What is the BC Corporation Loan Scheme?

The Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Co-operative Finance Corporation (APBCCFC), commonly called the BC Corporation, is a state government finance body. It helps Backward Class (BC) families who are economically weak to become self-reliant.

Under the BC Corporation Loan Scheme, an eligible BC person gets financial help to start or expand a small business — like a shop, tailoring unit, auto, dairy, or service unit. This is not a full free grant. It is a subsidy-linked bank loan, made of three parts:

  • Government subsidy (a big part, given free)
  • Bank loan (the main balance)
  • Your own share (a small contribution)

The main goals of the scheme are:

  • To promote self-employment among BC families.
  • To help people earn their own income and create jobs.
  • To improve the economic status of backward communities.
  • To give money directly to the beneficiary, with no middlemen.

The whole process runs through the OBMMS portal (apobmms.apcfss.in ), which is the state’s common system for all welfare corporations.

BC Corporation Loan: How the Subsidy Works

  • You choose a scheme and its unit cost (the total cost of your business or asset).
  • The government gives a subsidy — a big share of that cost, free of cost.
  • The bank gives a loan for most of the balance.
  • You pay a small contribution from your own pocket.

When you enter the unit cost on the OBMMS scheme portal, the system automatically shows your subsidy amount and bank loan amount.

Different sources give different figures for the loan range (commonly cited as around ₹1 lakh to ₹10 lakh), the subsidy share (often around 40% to 60%), and the beneficiary contribution (often around 5%). These change every year and differ by sector and scheme. So always check the current unit cost, subsidy, and your share on the official portal before you apply , do not trust old figures on other websites.

BC Corporation Loan Sectors and Schemes

You can choose a business from these BC Corporation sectors:

  • ISB (Industry, Service and Business): Small units like tailoring, shops, saloon (salon), photo studio, agarbatti making, pickle making, candle making, and automobile servicing.
  • Transport Sector: Auto rickshaw, car taxi, Tata Ace, goods vehicle, and similar. (You need a driving licence and badge number.)
  • Agriculture and Allied: Dairy units, sheep units, animal husbandry, and farm activities.
  • Minor Irrigation: Bore wells, pump sets, and similar farm water works.

The BC Corporation also supports community-specific work, like building Dhobighats for the Rajaka (washermen) community.

BC Federations Under the BC Corporation

The BC Corporation also funds 11 BC Federations, each for a specific BC community. Some of these are:

  • AP Washermen (Rajaka) Co-op Societies Federation
  • AP Nayee Brahmin (Barbers) Co-op Societies Federation
  • AP Vaddera Co-op Societies Federation
  • AP Sagara (Uppara) Co-op Societies Federation
  • AP Valmiki / Boya Co-op Societies Federation
  • and other community federations

Some districts also give direct financial help to specific groups for example, help for Rajakas, Nayee Brahmins, and tailors who own shops, and for women of certain communities for their livelihood.

Margin Money and BC Abhyudaya Yojana (Rural vs Urban)

The BC Corporation runs its individual self-employment help under two names, based on where you live:

  • Margin Money Scheme — for people in rural areas.
  • BC Abhyudaya Yojana — for people in urban areas.

Both give government subsidy support linked to a bank loan for self-employment. So when you apply, the correct scheme is chosen based on your village or town address.

Who is Eligible for the BC Corporation Loan Scheme?

You are eligible if:

  • You are within the age limit (commonly cited as 21 to 60 years but sources differ, so check the current year’s rule on the portal).
  • You have a valid Aadhaar, ration card, and bank account.
  • You have a clear business idea and are ready to run it yourself.
